I was clicking around on Wikipedia the other day and got to the World Series winners page and noticed some team names I had never heard of before. This got me wondering what teams used to be called in the early days, and I found a lot of interesting results. Every franchise has been called something different at one point, whether it be just a nickname or a completely different name.

Rather than just post my findings, I decided to make a little trivia game of it, so I whipped up this simple javascript game for people to check out. It’s been tested with the latest versions of Firefox and Chrome. Enjoy.
